Licensed child care centre supports

Guidance for licensed child care centres on ending a child's enrolment and accessing emergency funding for unexpected operating costs.

Terminations

If you're considering changes to a child’s placement or care arrangement, complete the child care termination form. Once submitted, a meeting will be arranged with Children’s Services to discuss available supports and next steps.

Emergency funding

The Emergency Funding Program helps child care operators with unexpected costs that could impact their participation in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care agreement.

Funding may be available for emergency issues that are outside the operator’s regular cost-based funding operating budget and require timely action to maintain safe, stable and continuous child care services. The program is intended to help address unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise disrupt service delivery or an operator’s ongoing participation in the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care System.

Eligibility, eligible expenses, funding limits, application requirements, and approval conditions are set out in the Emergency Funding Guidelines.
