Potential future Lincoln Station
Future station — no construction
- Business case: 2020 with Metrolinx
- Partners: Niagara Region, Town of Lincoln, landowner
In 2020, Niagara Region partnered with the landowner to have Metrolinx complete the initial business case for the station under the Transit Oriented Communities program. The business case determined that a station in Beamsville is viable on the GO network and it set out, at a high level, the infrastructure needed.
There is no construction timeline yet — building the station depends on a third party committing to fund the cost of construction on Metrolinx's behalf.
Niagara Region and the Town of Lincoln remain committed to a future station in Beamsville. Continued success of GO service into Niagara will help strengthen the case for it.
