Become a healthy school
The Ontario Physical and Health Education Association (OPHEA) has a Healthy Schools Recognition Program that recognizes new and existing school-based health initiatives. The program is self-directed and step-based.
A Healthy School looks beyond the classroom to support the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of everyone in the school community. It involves students, staff, parents, volunteers and community partners working together to plan and take action on student health.
The Healthy Schools approach is an evidence-based, internationally recognized framework endorsed by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
